Electric Glider Rules
These rules govern the club competition for Electric Gliders, to start in the 2008 event calendar
- Any aircraft up to 2 meter wingspan, with any electric motor/battery combination.
- The aim is to fly a 1 minute motor run and a 4 minute glide, for 4 or 5 rounds.
- Pilots must fly when called to fly by the Contest Director or forfeit the round (waiting for battery to charge won't be excepted, fly or forfeit the round).
- Scoring will be 1 point for every second of glide time, max points will be 240, with 1 point per second off either side of max score.
- No landing points will be awarded, but flights must terminate in the same paddock as they were launched from.
- Motor runs and flight times will be adjusted each year as aircraft performance increases.
